相关品种已列入国家主管部门-国家林草局100项重点推广成果(首批12项草业科技成果,唯一的草坪科技成果)。近年来已与国内外20家企业签订了品种授权及生产推广协议,选育的新品种在我国河北(雄安新区)、上海、江苏、浙江、福建、海南、江西、湖北及河南等15省以及美国和马尔代夫建立草坪新品种生产基地22个。新品种在在中国(南海岛礁、盐碱地、运动场、水利工程、城乡绿化)、 马尔代夫、美国等进行规模化推广应用,在江苏省足球场、水利防护、滩涂绿化中发挥重要作用。
在热带珊瑚岛礁生态建设方面,新品种在我国南海岛礁新吹填的42.86%热带珊瑚岛礁上得到规模化应用,并成功应用于马尔代夫维拉纳国际机场绿化的重要工程,应用面积占其首都圈陆域面积的8.74%;在运动场方面,新品种成功应用于青奥会、亚运会、亚足联比赛、中超、中甲等在我国举办的各类国家级和国际重大比赛用足球场的草坪建植,且在江苏省85%地级市范围内的足球场建造上大量应用,占2017至2018年新建和改建足球场的40%,在专业训练和比赛场地中的应用比例达到了50%以上,近几年新品种已应用于北京、河南、浙江、湖北、江西等区域省市县近50个体育中心的专业足球场建设;在耐盐草坪方面,目前新品种已在我国山东到广东的滩涂生态建设中得到规模化应用;在水利边坡生态防护方面,水利边坡全断面生态防护草坪配制模式和配套建植养护技术已经在江苏苏南、苏中、苏北水利边坡生态防护工程中得到规模化示范应用,经受住了常年水流侵蚀和2016年大洪水的考验。此外,全球转让给Barenbrug USA的种子繁殖型狗牙根新品种BAR C291在美国生产种子12079磅(合5435.55kg),在美国推广应用面积为46.7万m2,在我国草类植物新品种向美国转让和规模化应用方面实现了零的突破。
此外, 先后将发掘的主要暖季型草坪草优异种质和培育的新品种200余份次分别提供给中国农业大学、华南农业大学、南京农业大学、北京林业大学、上海交通大学、中科院武汉植物园、盐城师范学院、河南科技大学等20余家从事草坪研发的企事业单位开展育种研究,助推我国暖季型草坪草育种水平的整体提升,加速了育种国产化进程。
